Global warming

Global warming poses the challenge of glacier melting, resulting in unpredictable environmental changes, including alterations in river flow patterns and the potential for disasters for those residing along riverbanks. Development near river areas is also adversely impacted by increased river flow, leading to flooding that poses significant risks to all living things and causes destruction to habitats. This phenomenon alters geographical maps and, in some instances, results in the loss of human lives due to unexpected flooding caused by glacier melting. Over the past two to three years, numerous cases exemplify the severity of this issue, such as the devastating flood in Pakistan in 2022, where number of people lost their lives. Addressing the rapid melting of glaciers is crucial to mitigating the catastrophic consequences linked to global warming.
